Molen Pet Center offers its Hydropool Aquatrainer, which is available for rehabilitation and conditioning sessions for your dog. 

Molen Pet Center is the only facility in the area that offers canine hydrotherapy.

This wave pool is 4 feet deep, 8 feet wide and 14 feet long. It is surrounded by a large beautiful deck from which you can observe your dog in the water. Access to this deck is via a long ramp, built with your canine in mind: with or without injury your dog can easily get to the pool. He or she will then be assisted into the pool by our handlers. Your dog will learn quickly how to safely leave the pool via the stairs.

It has been our experience that dogs quickly learn how to enter the pool as well. Of course especially the retrievers are masters at retrieving in and around the pool. But even dogs that are not bred for retrieving and swimming quickly learn and are enjoying themselves as well, while safely working the kinks out of stiff muscles and joints without overstressing those same muscles and joints.

Lots of room on the deck for the  "spin dry" cycle: a canine powered device usually started with the verbal command: "Spin dry!".  

A canine flotation device may be used during part of the session to assist the dog as needed. This will allow the handler to control and guide the dogs movements in the water as he swims.  It takes only minutes to obtain conditioning that otherwise might take hours over many days, with much less stress on canine joints.

The water is kept at a comfortable temperature: usually between 84 - 92 degrees Fahrenheit.

You the owner will be able to assist your dog, if desired, after proper training and counseling. Or you may choose to observe your dog in the pool, sitting comfortably on the deck.

Sessions are available individually: $25.- per 30 minute session.

For a 10% discount a set of 10 sessions can be purchased for $225.-

The beautiful lake pictures show Peer Var Letsager, the Lytles dog. Being a Belgian Shepherd Peer was not keen on swimming! His experience in the hydrotherapy pool has led to his eager retrieving activities in water as well as on land! He is working on dock jumping as well!
